It is often said that a book should not be judged by its cover. This is true for the all new Ulephone Armor 6E. The phone looks rugged on the outside but it is has powerful capabilities.
The Ulefone Armor 6E (ARMOR6E) smartphone released in 2019. It is powered by Mediatek Helio P70 chipset, 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. The Ulefone Armor 6E runs on Android OS v9.0 (Pie) out of the box. It comes with a Li-Po 5000 mAh, non-removable battery. It features a 6.2 inches IPS display with 1080 x 2246 px resolution. The IPS technology is one of the most leading LCD technologies in the world.
The Armor 6 is largely made from plastic and glass. The device is comparatively large at 166 x 83 mm, which gives the display a screen-to-body ratio of around 70%. Ulefone has opted to cover the screen in Corning Gorilla Glass 5, which blends nicely into the device’s metal frame.
The outdoor smartphone is structurally stable though thanks to its solid metal frame, which helps to make the Armor 6 weigh a hefty 268 g.
Other than the power button and the volume buttons on one side, there are no dedicated camera or SOS/emergency buttons as you’d find on quite a few rugged rivals. There’s an option for SOS calls, though, accessible by long-pressing the volume down button. The problem is that many will just assume that this option is not available on the Armor 6.
There’s no audio socket either, and while you get a headphone adaptor bundled, this may irk prospective professionals who already have legacy headsets or audio accessories that require a physical input.
Processor, RAM and Storage
The Ulephone Armor 6E includes the Octa Core SoC Helio P70 that includes 4 high performance ARM Cortex-A73 processors capable of reaching 2.1Ghz in one cluster and another cluster with four ARM Cortex-A53 that have a maximum speed of 2Ghz . On the motherboard it includes 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of expandable storage memory up to 256 GB thanks to the microSD card reader included in the SIM tray.
The camera of the Ulefone Armor 6E is equipped with autofocus. Autofocus is a camera feature that fine-tunes the focus of the camera, it is a nice feature of this smartphone. It comes with a 8MP front Camera and a rear camera of 12+2MP of 4608 x 3456 px autofocus.
The Li-Po 5000 mAh, non-removable battery gives the smartphone a good battery backup.
