As expected (leaks and spy photos), HUAWEI Mate S ships with a similar exterior from “Mate” line, alloy mid-frame, bezel-less screen, ultra-thin fuselage, arc rear cover and typical golden, gray and silver main colors, looking chic and sleek.
Besides a similar appearance design, it loads up large 5.5-inch AMOLED TFT touch screen on 2.5D curved glass, which is well-known as a balanced screen between imaging brightness and color rendition, display resolution is 1920*1080 pixels.
Meanwhile, an optimized fingerprint scanner– Touch ID 2.0 sits on the rear side, giving fast unlock, ergonomic user experience and most important, navigation key function (press different sports for Back, Home and multi-task interface).
Deeply inside, instead of rumorous Kirin 950, HUAWEI Mate S Smartphone comes with a sophisticated Kirin 935 64-bit Octa-core processor, along with Mali-T628 GPU, 3GB RAM and 64GB ROM.
Moreover, camera configurations are 8MP front camera with soft light, 13MP BSI CMOS rear camera with dual-tone flash, support professional mode and HDR+ feature. Operating system is a custom EMUI 3.1 that based on Android 5.1 Lollipop, support dual SIM card dual standby and dual 4G LTE. Built-in battery is fairly small, just 2700mAh, but fast charger from Hisilicon is accessible.
