DOOGEE S96 Pro Review: The Best Rugged Phone

Doogee s96 is one of the most developed rugged smartphone manufacturers apart from Ulefone and Blackview. It is an attractive, unique night camera vision, which balanced a mix of fast storage, and a practical, solid design.  They are the only band that instead of focusing on adding features that will be valuable to the targeted audience, jumped on the 5G bandwagon.

The Doogee s96 phone shares the same design as most rugged smartphones. It has four long sides, four rounded corners, an industrial design where metallic grey, bright yellow, and black rubber come together to give a stylish look. At 81 x 167x 15.5mm for 307g, which is heavier and larger than most non-rugged smartphones compared to display sizes. This device has a metal frame that protects the phone in the right places which makes it 50% heavy. It comes with Circular Island which contains four-camera sensors-arranged in a 2×2 matrix- two banks of our LEDs (half of them, infrared lights, and half, traditional lights), and comes with the usual MIL-STD-810G/IP68/IP69K ratings. On the left hand, there is a SIM/memory card tray above the customized button while on the right side contains a volume rocker, a power button while a lap secures a USB-C connector, fingerprint scanner, and a 3.5-inch audio port near the bottom.

This device has opted for an HD display with 1520 x 720-pixel resolution which is just a small fraction of what other competitors have done. The low-resolution display consumes less energy and there are fewer pixels to light up and it’s cheaper.  It has a huge battery (6350mAh) which gives a longer battery life compared to the competition. Doogee uses 128GB UFS storage Samsung, 8GB low power DDR4 memory, which is much better than the usual Emmc technology. Doogee s96 has a 20-megapixel camera sensor, a 2-megapixel macro sensor, an 8-megapixel wide-angle sensor from the same vendor, a rear 48-megapixel Samsung camera, and a front-facing 16-megapixel.  Other specifications include bluetooth5, FM radio, OTG, NFC, a 24W fast charger, and 10W wireless charging.

This device so much including running a dual sim in standby as well as a micro SD card or a small outlay. This is our first phone with a night vision camera which makes it feel like a very good deal; the hardware is impressive and pretty which is solidly midrange with a lot of memory and fast onboard storage.
